Protecting Commercial Intellectual Property

What is Intellectual Property? According to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) , Intellectual Property (IP) refers to creations of the mind, including inventions, literary and artistic works; designs and symbols, names and images used in commerce, etcetera. IPs are protected by various laws, which allow the IP owners to exploit them commercially, reaping financial benefits, and prohibit third parties from using them without permission.
