A REVIEW OF THE EMERGENCY ECONOMIC STIMULUS BILL

In response to the Covid-19 global pandemic, the Federal House of Representatives passed the Nigeria Emergency Economic Stimulus Bill (the Bill) on the 20th of March 2020. The Bill which was introduced and passed by the House same day represents part of the Federal Government’s grand post-epidemic recovery measures aimed at providing reliefs and cushioning the negative effects of the global health pandemic on businesses operating in Nigeria as well as protecting the jobs of the Nigerian working populace.
