CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA CLARIFIES CIRCULAR ON THE OPERATION OF ORDINARY DOMICILIARY ACCOUNTS

Following misconceptions on the circular issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on 23rd February 2020 on the operation of Ordinary Domiciliary Accounts (ODAs) in Nigeria, the CBN has provided further clarification. The apex bank noted the need to set the records straight as Banks and their customers had interpreted the earlier circular as prohibiting the acceptance of foreign currency cash deposits by Deposit Money Banks
